The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted mostly cold and dry weather for most regions of the country over the next 24 hours aside from a very cold and partly cloudy sky in hilly regions. There are chances of shallow to moderate fog in patches in the morning in Northeast and South Punjab and Upper Sindh.

The synoptic situation indicates that continental air dominates most regions while a shallow westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country. Cold and dry weather has been prevailing over most regions for the past 24 hours, with hilly areas remaining very cold and partly cloudy. Central and southern Punjab had shallow fog.
