Inconvenience persists to travelers, as areas within the Lahore-Islamabad GT Road have been rendered impassable by ongoing protests. Completely this portion has been blocked on both sides from Muridke to Jhelum and also at Chenab River bridge in Gujrat, where the containers have been placed on either side of the bridge. ‘Dharna’ forces have also imposed bandhs at key routes, including the Sadhoke Check Post, Nandipur Check Post, Jhelum, Kamoki, Shahdara, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Hafizabad, and Sheikhupura. These blockages have led to a situation whereby many people have remained in their vehicles for several effective hours.

The public has been asked not to travel on GT Road and to utilize other routes. Travelers going to major cities, including Lahore, Gujranwala, or Islamabad, are advised to monitor the status in the area. The situation is also grave due to the heavy presence of police at even the outlying areas especially on the bridges across the Chenab River. All those traveling around are advised to be careful and safety should be their priority while making plans on journeys.
While it is unclear when the road would be reopened, the protests are still ongoing with traffic and normal life disturbed in the areas concerned. Commuters are therefore advised to keep watching for more details and to refrain from traveling to and fro along the GT Road closures.
