Omar Ayub, an important part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has alleged that the government is not serious about arranging any negotiation with the opposition-level party.
Speaking to the media, Omar Ayub Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, said that the PTI’s negotiation team was not allowed to meet its founder, who has been detained in Adiala Jail, to prepare for talks despite having been formed by the party’s founder to have them ready for talks. No progress has been made in the past two weeks.

“We don’t need to follow talks if the government is not interested, that’s what’s there,” Ayub said when asked to elaborate on the leader in jail as well.
On the other hand, adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah reiterated his hope of resolving all political issues through dialogue. The prime minister, he said, has invited opposition members to discuss the business of the house-House National Assembly floor in consultation with party leadership and establishment.
A committee for talks will be set up within a day or two, Sanaullah said. PTI’s committee is in touch with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. He gave the assurance that legal proceedings like the 190 million pound case would not affect dialogue.
