Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s establishment of a negotiating committee for resolving the political stalemate in the country. In the chairman’s view, he hopes that these negotiations between the government and the opposition will be fruitful. Both the committees are composed of astute politicians, and it is expected that the talks will commence promptly to end the impasse.

The newly formed committee, which Sadar Ayaz Sadiq, speaker of the National Assembly, proposed, includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Syed Naveed Qamar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain. Prime Minister Sharif then acknowledged the efforts made by Speaker Sadiq and underlined the need to keep the negotiations within the ambit of national security and public interest.
Earlier, the PTI chairman Barrister Gohar requested National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to ease dialogue between the government and the opposition.
