The Punjab cabinet visionaries have approved a major new format of salary scales for members of the provincial assembly, acknowledged by 24NewsHD TV. Thus according to the new form, MPA will now get Rs500,000 a month in his account. The Punjab Assembly Speaker will receive a Rs1 million salary, while a salary of Rs800,000 will be afforded to the Deputy Speaker.

Provincial ministers also receive a salary scale of Rs1 million each, while parliamentary secretaries would get Rs600,000 per month. The Special Assistants and Advisors will henceforth be paid Rs700,000 monthly. The bill would be presented to the Provincial Assembly for notification in this form.
