Punjab University Postpones Mid-Term Exams Due to Smog

Punjab University mid-term examinations have been postponed yet again, and the new starting date of the exams has been decided as November 25th. The classes will, however, continue with all normality. Heads of Departments will ensure that lectures are delivered either online, in person, or a hybrid of both.

This is the second week that examinations have been postponed due to heavy smog in the region. Last week, the university’s entire activity was transferred to online classes.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi will close their schools on Monday due to PTI’s immediately continuing protests in the federal capital. The Islamabad Private Schools Association decided this for the sake of safety. We expect the district administration to bring out the official notification about closing schools and colleges in the federal capital.

These precautionary safeguards have been taken just for the sake of possible security of students and non-teaching and teaching staff. The authorities are watching the situation minutely for the next action plans.
