Completion of the ongoing repair and renovation works at government flats and blocks in Sector G-8, Islamabad, has been sought for an additional Rs 135 million by the Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD). The work on the project is yet to be completed, and further work will only be pursued once funds have been approved. Internal and external painting, shutter replacement of bathrooms, replacement of glass panes, repair of bathrooms, and treatment on roofs are the items included in the total activity and will be completed within six months after the allocation of funds.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is intensifying its campaign against unauthorized commercial use of residential properties in Sectors G-13 and G-14. Notices have been served upon the owners who would be violating the laws on residential usage, threatening them with a legal course of action according to the Islamabad Capital Territory Building Control Regulation, 2020.
