The prime minister of Qatar announced on Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump wishes to see the Gaza-ceasefire before his inauguration on January 20.
It was in an interview with Sky News that Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani validated that clearly Trump’s intention as to have this war between Israel and the Palestinian enclave resolved before he would put on the Presidential sash. “Yes, he made that clear,” al-Thani said.
“We had heard this from his team, at least, as I recall the conversations that I had engaged with them, that they want this to be resolved now – today even,” he said.
As a central figure in the negotiations, the Qatari prime minister said he prefers not to share many details in order to “protect this process as much as possible.”

“We are trying our best. We have been doing our utmost,” he said.
“All of us agree, and we are hoping to get over the situation before the President (Trump) comes to the office, because we have priorities to stabilize the situation. We have priorities to restore regional security,” he said further.
U.S.-Egyptian-Qatari mediation attempts on the ceasefire in Gaza and prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas have borne no fruit for Netanyahu’s unwillingness to halt the war.
On October 7, Hamas launched an offensive into Israel, unleashing a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip that has killed over 45,530 people, most of whom were women and children, and injured over 105,500.
Increasingly, the second season of genocide in Gaza is being condemned worldwide. The attacks and blockade of the payment have been declared an intentional attempt to murder a complete population by officials and institutions.
On November 21, 2011, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for former ministers and Netanyahu.
