Rana Sanaullah is the political adviser of the Prime Minister. He denied any claims for current negotiations between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the government or the establishment. He added it could be done, but the first step should be taken by the PTI itself to change its attitude. According to Sanaullah, the party was yet to engage the Speaker’s Office in any contacts or hold any formal meeting for talk, stating, “When the PTI leadership reaches out, I am confident our leadership will respond positively.”

When asked to comment on the issue of Faiz Hameed, the adviser went on to refer to ISPR’s statement ruling out Hameed becoming an approver. Sanaullah said, “If Faiz Hameed is found guilty of violating the Official Secrets Act, he will likely face trial alongside PTI’s founder.”
