The death of General Kirillov happened only a day after the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged him with having ordered the chemical assault against Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The bomb was detonated on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow, in a scooter parked next to the entrance of a residential house. The committee has opened a criminal investigation into the matter as a terrorist act.
Several Ukrainian media, including the state-run news agency Ukrinform, reported that the death of Kirillov happened as part of a special operation of SBU. But no such statement has been made by the Ukrainian authorities.
