Indeed, the safe havens of Khawarij terrorists within Afghanistan have been emerging as a serious threat to global peace. The death of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Rahimullah alias Shahid Umar in Kunar province is thus good news for Pakistan. Umar was behind many cross-border terrorist attacks, one of the most important personalities stressed by his death, who indicated rather serious fractures within the TTP itself.
From reports, Umar has died either because of factional fighting or due to the reward of Rs 10 million on his head. Such infighting within TTP brings to the surface the increasing disintegration of this terrorist group.

Internal strife is further reflected within TTP, which has been becoming a more and more splintered and fragmented group, further infested by petty infighting.
However, in this case, the Afghan Taliban said that TTP was not sheltering in Afghanistan. But the presence of Umar on Afghan land shows how they are defending and supporting such acts. In fact, by becoming protectors of such militants, the Afghan Taliban are working towards regional instability and against peace in Pakistan. They directly challenge Pakistan’s safety and further pose a threat to world peace.
The Taliban hails those apparent preferences by which no khowairij or ground bases for terrorist organizations across their border will be dismantled. It is a matter of known fact that Pakistani diplomacy for the resolution of the TTP issue has faced consistent resistance and trouble from the Afghan Taliban.
Defying continued TTP affiliations, Afghanistan may take action within its territory across the border as an issue of indecision between Pakistani diplomacy and the Afghan response.
