A delegation from Saudi Arabia, headed by the chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, arrived at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq accorded welcome to the delegation, and both sides spoke at length on promoting parliamentary and economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council appreciated the warm welcome and indulged in the statement on the side of Saudi Arabia towards a prosperous and developed Pakistan. He also mentioned ways to further develop parliamentary links between the two nations. He also held a meeting with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani to promote parliamentary cooperation.

A day earlier, the Saudi delegation received a warm welcome from the Speaker National Assembly as they arrived at Islamabad Airport. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq spoke about the long-lasting fraternal relations between the two countries, expressing optimism that this visit would develop good bilateral parliamentary relations.
Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh expressed happiness to visit Pakistan and thanked for the warm welcome. He shared how he could relate to the fact that at all times he had been appreciated with sincerity and love by the people during his visits to Pakistan. The Saudi delegation also held an important meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.
