Notifying the initiation of phasing out the older teachers, the School Education Department has collected data and is collecting data from District Education Authorities on teachers willing to take voluntary retirement.
The department was looking for teachers aged 50 and 55, as well as those who had completed 25 years of service. Other subject matters include each teacher’s date of birth, current posting details, designation, and educational qualifications.

The department rushed this whole thing through all school heads that information had to be submitted urgently. The education system alone has around 12,000 matriculated teachers and over 8,000 with an FA qualification.
This would, however, form part of the department’s strategy for managing its workforce efficiency and thus improving the standards of education in the entire system.
