The principal of a private school located in Lodhran, Pakistan, has been arrested on charges of raping a seventh grader nine months earlier.
The suspect-owner of the school was arrested by Lodhran Saddar Police on the complaint of the 12-year-old girl’s father. She stopped going to school after this incident and, until recently, had not talked about it to her parents.

According to the District Police Spokesperson Khan Bahadur, the girl was attending the school in Basti Lalilwala. The principal allegedly called the girl to the classroom for cleaning work, shut the door, and molested her. He also warned her to remain quiet on the subject.
The father of the victim said that the girl was very upset and had become quiet after that, but she did not tell him what had happened. It was only then that she told everything to her parents.
The rape case has been registered against the suspected culprit, and he was arrested on the orders of DPO Kamran Mumtaz. A medical examination of the victim is still awaited.
