The vacant position of spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now filled with senior diplomat Shafqat Ali Khan, who will assume this role from Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
Sources have reported that Shafqat Khan is currently serving as Additional Secretary for Europe at the Foreign Office.

He has also served in ambassadorial positions in Russia and Poland, which proves his vast experience in the area of diplomacy.
The outgoing spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch is reported to be going through the selection to be appointed as Pakistan’s ambassador to France on recommendations of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
The big reshuffle has put a mark to define the contours of Pakistani diplomacy and the recent foreign communication strategy.
