Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Calls for Democratic Reforms in Pakistan

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, head of the Awam Pakistan Party, underscored the need for comprehensive reforms, emphasizing that the country should have democracy in place to establish stability in Pakistan. While he was speaking in Lahore, Abbasi blamed the present governance system for the fact that provinces took instructions from chief ministers without wider deliberations.

Recalling the first privatization moves in Pakistan, Abbasi also stated that it would be on the world map as far as bank privatization is concerned followed by the cement and fertilizer sectors.
