Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has set up a task force under the chairmanship of the Interior Minister to identify people involved in the recent chaos and violence in Islamabad. The task force comprises Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Economic Affairs Division Ahad Khan Cheema, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and representatives of the security forces.
In a high-level meeting regarding the matter, the prime minister also announced the establishment of a Federal Riot-Control Force, which would be responsible for handling incidences of riots and protests in the future. This particular force will be given professional training and equipment by international standards. A Federal Forensic Lab is also to be set up and will enable modern technology in investigating and collecting evidence in such related incidents.

Modernization of the Islamabad Safe City project will also be accompanied by the strengthening of the federal prosecution service. PM Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan is well on it course of moving towards steadiness and developing conditions. Those who are against the development of the country will not succeed. He highlighted that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had shown bravery and pride and that a few disruptors do not represent the honorable Pashtun community. The prime minister mentioned that it is time to prevent all such attempts for the safety of economic and national security.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahad Khan Cheema, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Attaullah Tarar, Advisor to PM Rana Sana Ullah, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Senior Minister Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb, and senior officials attended the meeting.
