Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced grand celebrations for the arrival of the New Year at the Governor House, which will include laser displays, fireworks, and an electrifying Qawwali night.

He said that the cultural program was designed to motivate hope and positivity to the people. Meanwhile, the Karachi commissioner has imposed Section 144 throughout the city for two days. The notification prohibits aerial firing, fireworks, and display of weapons to the public for security reasons.
Such restrictions will be effective from 31 December 2024 to 1 January 2025, as part of the measures maintaining peace during the New Year’s celebrations.
