Kazakhstan’s other domestic online marketplace called Teez has become the forwarding mark for the development of the country’s e-commerce industry. The online marketplace launched from Karaganda assures delivery the next day, as well as offers pick-up points for its customers in 24 cities across the country.
Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev accepted earlier a tour of the mega-warehouse of Teez. Linar Khusnullin, co-founder of Teez, shared with the audience the vision of increasing the number of pick-up points from the current 40 to 127 across the country. For now, the platform hosts 50,000 different product types and has initiated 170,000 downloads for the app. The company’s warehouse currently occupies 25,000 square meters, but by 2030, it aims to expand to 120,000 square meters in order to become Kazakhstan’s e-commerce leader.

In 2023, e-commerce in Kazakhstan has already crossed 2.2 trillion KZT ($4.8 billion) and represents 13% of total retail trade. The government aims to increase it to 20% by 2030, with platforms like Teez taking a leading role in this growth.
