Irfan Neziroglu, the Turkish ambassador, visited the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan) in Islamabad to discuss cooperation in the field of intellectual property. He met there with Chairperson Ambassador (R) Furkh Amil and Director General Ms. Shazia Adnan to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The discussions were around the trademark, patent protection, copyright, and geographical indications. Both sides noted the important role that intellectual property plays in the economic growth and development of that region.
This visit marks one of the most significant steps in fortifying Pakistan-Turkey relationships in the field of intellectual property.
Ambassador Neziroglu appreciated the efforts of IPO-Pakistan in terms of the promotion of intellectual property rights and expressed his wish to have solid bilateral cooperation between both countries.
