Continuous snowfall in the area of Neelum Valley and adjoining places has shut off all associated roads, making people’s lives very troublesome for locals and tourists.
The most difficult road conditions are Keran, Grace, Halmat, Taobat, and Sardari. blocked roads complicate patients’ access to hospitals because reaching a hospital has become a very difficult task. The Neelum Highway has been opened for traffic between Chalhana and Sharda but blocked for use from Kel to Grace Valley. Besides this, access to Taobat has been hindered from various points as well.

Akhtar Ayub, in charge of the Disasters Management Authority, has advised no extra journeys of tourists and suggested driving under snow chains in upper Neelum. He advised driving in a lower gear and an optimum speed while using brakes less to keep economy travel.
According to the Met Department, Kel received 5-6 inches of snow, Janawai reported about 10, while Sharda reported 2-4.
